I am going on a book buying hiatus starting January 1st! This, for me, will require a GREAT amount of willpower. I am an admitted one click addict and love a 99 cents eBook. I can't help it. There's something about a book that goes on sale that calls to me! For the next three months I will not purchase a single sale book. Not a one! (Yes, this will be my face every time that I come across a good sale for the next three months.) I have a ridiculous number of books hanging out in my Kindle library, along with a stack of physical books that need to be read. HOWEVER, if/when one of my favorite authors releases a book during this time I am granting myself the ability to buy those few books. That's fair, right? I need to keep supporting the author's I love. Right? Anyone?
Anyone else want to join me in this little book challenge? If so leave a comment, email, or message me and we will support each other through this trying and difficult time! I had an Amazon gift card so I HAD to grab a few books that I want to read, but don't own yet before D Day. Here are the books that I had to have before my crack down. I was able to get all 5 of these books for little under $35 by buying used hard cover editions from various Amazon vendors. I have had really good luck doing this. I usually get the book for a penny and then pay $3.99 in shipping. I've never had to pay more than maybe $3 for the book and with some of these it is still cheaper than the eBook.
You can follow what I am reading from my backlist by checking out the widget on the sidebar called My Backlist Challenge. It'll be updated as I read through my massive TBR pile.
Happy Reading!
Monica
