This is the sweetest, slightly erotic story that I have read in a long time. Kate Seymour owns Kinnections, a match making company with her two best friends Arilyn and Kennedy. They have pooled their individual talents to build a match making service that focuses on the whole person in order to find their perfect match. They don't just rely on computer algorithms to spit out a list of possible matches. Kate herself is looking for her perfect match, but is riding a very long streak of bad first dates and disappointing match ups. Kate has a big heart, some personal insecurities due to her mild stuttering, but a determination to find her own happiness. Her quest to ensure that people find their forever gets her off track for herself however. She actually matches her own dates up with other people at least twice while she was on the date with them at the time! Kate begins to think that maybe it will be just her and her rescued pit bull Robert for the long haul until she feels the electricity that comes from one Slade Montgomery.
Slade, a divorce attorney who is once divorced himself does not believe in forever. Not only does he have issues with the concept of happily ever after, but he also thinks that Kinnections is nothing more than a scam designed to separate desperate love sick saps from their hard earned money. In order to protect his sister, and get a look at the company that says it can help her find happiness, Slade decides to sign up for their match making service. Little did Slade know that his skepticism has met it's match in the form of one determined Kate. Kate is determined to not only fight her attraction to the sexy but annoying Slade, but to prove to him that the company that she and her friends have built is a valid and needed business. Despite Slade's own baggage and resistance he can't fight the attraction he has to Kate and finds that someday may be possible.
If you are looking for a good contemporary romance that also has steamy love scenes look no further. This is a great read and will keep you believing that there's happiness out there for everyone.
Happy Reading!
