A Slow Burn (Stories from Beauville .5) by Tigris Eden Review

This is my first Tigris Eden story and I will definitely be diving into the Beauville series when it is released. I really enjoyed her style of writing and was upset to finish this short story in under an hour. Slow Burn takes place over the course of one afternoon/evening so it doesn't leave much room for a thorough review since it would be too easy to reveal a spoiler. Slow Burn is really just a set up for Book 1 of Eden's series Stories from Beauville and what a sexy set up! The chemistry between Annabelle and Jackson is combustible. They are not without history; we just won't get any of their future or history until book 1. I didn't see a release date for book 1, but I will be keeping a lookout for it. An overall a very enjoyable read just don't go into this little gem expecting anything other than a little slap and tickle of a teaser! But oh what a teaser it is!

Happy Reading!

Synopsis:
In the Fictional town of Beauville, anything is possible.

Annabelle Macon left home to become somebody. When fired from her job in New York, she’s anxious to come home. Home is where the heart is, and her heart has always been set on Jackson Storme. But when opportunity presents Anna with an exciting new job back in New York, she doesn't know what to do.

Sheriff Jackson Storme is happy being deemed a player. He hasn't found the one woman to call his own, and that’s okay with him. When his baby sister pulls up to the Fourth of July picnic and her passenger steps out, Jackson realizes his woman has made herself known.

Will Anna and Jackson’s fire only burn for one night, or can he convince her that the best burn is A Slow Burn…

Break out the fireworks and get ready to kick-off your summer with this HOT new collection of stories. A Slow Burn is part of the Red Hot and BOOM multi-author series! (Stands alone for your reading enjoyment.)

About the Author:

There is really not much to say... I love to write, read, and listen to music. My attempt at a music career sadly ended at the Apollo one warm night in May. LOL (Side note: I was not booed just outdone by two munchkins rapping to Biggy Smalls, they were good.

Military brat extraordinaire; have traveled to a lot of interesting places.  This February I will be going over to the other side of the pond where I will spend two weeks in Europe.  I will be in Cambridge, London, Paris, Versailles, Bruges, and hopefully Cardiff.

The very first time I put pen to paper in story fashion (for fun), was in 6th grade.  The story was called, The Case of The Missing Pepperoni. It was a cute mystery where all the ingredients and shop appliances came to life when the store owner closed up for the evening.  See, pretty boring stuff. I always say I'm not the interesting one, but the people around me.
