REAPER'S LEGACY is a nice continuation of the REAPER'S PROPERTY series. However, this is an instance where I didn't really like the main couple all that much. Although a wild and unapologetic womanizer, Ruger has always been there for Sophie and his nephew Noah in his own rough and distant way. Ruger helps bring Noah safely into the world in the most hands on way possible and because of that, has a connection and sense of responsibility to both of them. Since making the mistake of falling for Zach and hoping that he would do the right thing by her and their son Sophie has tried to make it on her own while allowing and even encouraging the relationship between Ruger and her son. It's been hard and Sophie has made some mistakes but she is doing everything that she can to make things work for them.
Because Ruger has never lied to Sophie, but never actually exposed her to the life of the motorcycle club Sophie really doesn't know what to expect. What surprised me and honestly turned me off a bit is the fact that Sophie is so judgmental. I am all for her putting Noah's needs and safety above everything else, but Sophie does it in a way that comes off as very ungrateful. Ruger is no saint either. He's coarse, chauvinistic, and uses women as a means of entertainment. When he's gotten all that he wants from them he is done and doesn't turn them out with even a little consideration. Ruger also isn't willing to try monogamy even when he demands it of Sophie. Sophie knows this about him and still dances near the fire and doesn't like it when she gets singed. And another thing: there's a scene where Sophie says of a neighbor that she is "pretty sexy for a woman pushing forty." I beg your freaking pardon? Just had to get that one off of my chest. Damn whipper snapper...
I did enjoy the story development that happens outside of the main couple. There's a bigger storm brewing and the Reapers are facing a big change and are facing enemies on two fronts. The biker women are all entertaining in this one. Em is facing a problem that will entangle not only her emotionally but will pull in the club as well as the connection with their rival club The Devil's Jack comes to a head. I am looking forward to getting Em and Hunter's story in book 3 and seeing where this new drama will lead.
Happy Reading!

Synopsis
Reaper's Legacy is a raw and intensely erotic tale in Joanna Wylde's Reapers Motorcycle Club series.
Eight years ago, Sophie gave her heart-and her virginity-to Zach Barrett on a night that couldn't have been less romantic or more embarrassing. Zach's step-brother, a steely-muscled, tattooed biker named Ruger, caught them in the act, getting a peep show of Sophie he's never forgotten.
She may have lost her dignity that fateful night, but Sophie also gained something precious-her son Noah. Unfortunately, Zach's a deadbeat dad, leaving Ruger to be Noah's only male role model. When he discovers Sophie and his nephew living in near poverty, Ruger takes matters into his own hands-with the help of the Reapers Motorcycle Club-to give them a better life.
Living with outlaw bikers wasn't Sophie's plan for her son, but Ruger isn't giving her a choice. He'll be there for Noah, whether she wants him or not. But Sophie does want him, has always wanted him. Now she'll learn that taking a biker to bed can get a girl dirty in every way.
