A Master of Djinn by P. Djèlí Clark is an interesting murder mystery set in a vividly descriptive steampunk world. Fatma is a main character that I really enjoyed even when she seemed a little slow on figuring things out. The murder plot was good and the magic and myths that are woven in added a lot to the atmosphere. The pacing is slower than I expected but that could be because I had just come off of reading the novellas in this world right before picking this one up. I enjoy this world that Clark has created so much and I'm looking forward to the next installment.
