Next Charlaine Harris Series: Midnight Crossroad-A Novel of Midnight Texas

There isn't a cover for this book yet, but as soon as I see it I will of course put it up! The book isn't due out until May 6, 2014 so we still have a while to wait, but I am happy to see that there will be another series from Harris to hopefully fall in love with just like I did with the Sookie Stackhouse books. The one problem that I see is that it is listed as $14.99 for the eBook and you all know by now how I feel about expensive eBooks! But what are you gonna do? The publishers set these prices and until there's a massive revolt I don't see them lowering the prices of new books from popular authors any time soon. Here's the book teaser listed on Amazon so far:

 FIRST IN A NEW TRILOGY

From Charlaine Harris, the bestselling author who created Sookie Stackhouse and her world of Bon Temps, Louisiana, comes a darker locale—populated by more strangers than friends. But then, that’s how the locals prefer it…

Welcome to Midnight, Texas, a town with many boarded-up windows and few full-time inhabitants, located at the crossing of Witch Light Road and Davy Road. It’s a pretty standard dried-up western town.

There’s a pawnshop (someone lives in the basement and is seen only at night). There’s a diner (people who are just passing through tend not to linger). And there’s new resident Manfred Bernardo, who thinks he’s found the perfect place to work in private (and who has secrets of his own).

Stop at the one traffic light in town, and everything looks normal. Stay awhile, and learn the truth...

    1. Thanks for stopping by and commenting Marika! I am looking forward to this series too and I think that it will be interesting that the main protagonist is a man this time.

  2. I'm probably one of the few lovers of the paranormal genre who hasn't read any of Charlaine Harris's work! This looks like a good series to start, and I've made a note to look out for it next year!

    1. Don't feel bad Barbara Ann there are so many series out there that it's hard to keep up with every one of them. Now that I am doing this blog I sometimes think that I have been under a rock somewhere because there are so many popular books out there that I haven't read yet. I don't think that I will ever catch up, there's just too much good stuff out there! Thanks for stopping by!
