Heart of a Cowboy by Tali Martel Review

I had a pretty lukewarm overall reaction to this story. I wasn't affected one way or another by this story at all, which is always a little disappointing. There are definitely some editing issues and they proved to be distracting. With this being such a short story the editing issues tended to disrupt the flow of the story. It wasn't a bad read, I just didn't connect to the characters. Jace wasn't the strongly aggressive alpha cowboy that I tend to enjoy so that was probably the biggest drawback for me with this story. Perhaps if there had been more character and plot development I would have had time to warm up to Jace and Lila, but as it stands it was just an okay read.

Happy Reading!

Synopsis

Lila’s assignment was simple…fly to Wyoming, spend two days interviewing the cowboy owner of Triple W Ranch and fly back home to New York City to write the magazine article. What she wasn’t expecting was the immediate sexual attraction and undeniable chemistry with rancher, Jace Millet.

Jace Millet was used to living alone on a big ranch in the middle of Wyoming with only a few workhands to keep him company. When the gorgeous Lila arrived to interview him, his thoughts quickly turned to how he could possibly persuade her to stay forever...
