FALLING FOR HIS BEST FRIEND is a quick and easy to enjoy friends to lovers romance. The story flows quickly with humor, a bit of sexiness, and is a romance that feels realistic. Another point in favor of FALLING FOR HIS BEST FRIEND is that there is a bit of diversity with Avery being of Chinese descent but fully American. Robert's doesn't hit you over the head with Avery's heritage but it is there and some of the issues that she has which are related to her family makes the story that much more interesting. Avery is smart, independent, and ready to take measures to ensure her happiness against her genetic odds. Avery has a life that can support herself as well as a baby and the way things have worked out for her thus far, the perfect husband hasn't arrived and her clock is ticking. Little does Avery know that Drew has undisclosed feelings for her and he isn't about to let her have a random baby daddy.
Drew and Avery's interactions are totally enjoyable and relatable. The issues that Drew has are fairly simple but are no less a hardship for him. Avery's ability to embrace her challenges and solve them her own way despite the fallout she knows will come with her family is admirable. Avery comes off pretty laid back and gentle at first but we find out that this girl harbors some sass and fire which was a nice addition. You definitely do not want to underestimate her!
Although this is book 2 in the series it is a complete and stand alone story. Robert's easy and straight forward writing style made this an enjoyable read. FALLING FOR HIS BEST FRIEND would be a great vacation or quick weekend read.
Happy Reading!

Synopsis:
Avery Yeung’s biological clock just went off early. Thanks to her family’s medical history, she’s running out of time to get knocked up. And the only guy within donating distance? Her overprotective—and irritatingly hot—best friend. So clearly she needs an anonymous donor…
Anonymous donor? Over Sheriff Drew Flannery’s dead body. While daddyhood will never be in the cards for a man with his past, Drew won’t let Avery shop for a “popsicle pop.” He’ll do what’s right for his best friend by doing his best friend. But only if they do it properly.
But there’s nothing “proper” about it. Between the bed, the kitchen counter, and against his squad car, Avery and Drew are having the hottest sex ever. They can’t get enough of it—or each other. And without knowing it, they’ve crossed the one line that could ruin their friendship forever…
See where it all began with book 1 of the Out of Uniform series, In Bed with Mr. Wrong.
