Maybe Tomorrow by Kim Golden Review

In Maybe Tomorrow the pursuit of love has led to betrayal and disappointment for both Eddy and Henrik. For them both, infidelity has tarnished the idea that true and lasting love can be found for everyone. Eddy and Henrik have given up on finding that for themselves. Love is always complicated and often messy, but when you take two people who have both been recently betrayed by the lovers that they had committed to, skepticism and doubt causes extra problems for any burgeoning relationship.

Eddy is overly cautious when it comes to Henrik's interest in her. She is willing to share her body and her time with Henrik before she moves to New York, but that is where she wants to draw the line. Eddy tries to convince herself that friendship and fun is all she is looking for or willing to give. I completely understood her need to guard her heart and not leap into another relationship so close to making a big life change. No one wants to feel like a fool over and over again. It is hard for Eddy to trust her own instincts when love hasn't exactly been good to her when she has taken chances before. Eddy is one of those characters who could get in her own way. There are moments when you just want her to stop messing around and let Henrik give her what she proclaims to want.

Henrik isn't your typical romance alpha and I appreciated Golden's departure from the aggressive and difficult leading male character. Henrik is calm and self possessed without all of the outward machismo that we often get, and albeit enjoy, in romance. Henrik is more placid and quietly sexy. He's a perfect case of still waters running deep and I for one thoroughly enjoyed that. Don't sleep on the quiet ones, they can surprise you with what they have in store for you!

In Maybe Tomorrow Golden gives readers a sexy modern romance that is relatable, realistic, and satisfying.

Happy Reading!

No such thing as love...

Eddy and Henrik don't believe in love. At least, that's what they keep telling themselves. They've been burned in the past, and neither wants to be that vulnerable again.

A summer fling...

That's all it was ever supposed to be. So why can't they stop thinking about one another? And for Eddy--who's moving back to America in a few weeks--the worst thing that could happen would be to fall in love with the one man who could make her question her decision.

Out of his comfort zone...

Henrik never counted on trusting love again. He's put all his energy into his career. So why does the thought of Eddy leaving Europe for good make him want to do everything in his power to make her want to stay...?

Maybe Tomorrow is a standalone novel in the Maybe... series.
