Book spine poetry day is probably the most anxiety inducing day in all of the #ReadSoulLit challenge for me. Y'all, I am NOT a poet, nor do I claim to be familiar with most poetry either. I don't even remember how to structure a poem from high school English class, and I successfully managed to almost completely avoid poetry and poetry analysis in college. I was a biology major and was able to skate around the need to take a class that required studying anything as intimidating as attempting to intelligently discuss poetry. But this year, my little spine poem jumped out at me pretty quickly. It's not long and it's not complicated! So without further ado, here's my very short piece of poetry.
Inside a Silver Box,
Known to Evil,
A Mercy...
Love
Thank you, thank you very much!
