The Black Bookcase on Goodreads
I have joined forces with four of my fellow black book bloggers to open a new Goodreads group called The Black Bookcase! Sharonda from Brazen Babe Reviews, Connie from Coco Fierce Book Blog. Marcia from Bookswagger, and Patrice from Musings Of A Romance Junkie are all jumping in to help moderate the group and share their love of reading. This group was created in the hopes that we can bring together readers who enjoy stories written by Black authors and featuring Black experiences. Our goal for this group is to develop a large catalog of suggested books across all genres. Everything from romance, to literary fiction, to Science Fiction, to nonfiction; all exclusively featuring Black writers telling their own stories. We even have a book bargain section where book sales can be shared.
Anyone can join this group, the only requirements are to be at least 18 and have a Goodreads account. We are hoping to get as many readers/reviewers/bloggers/vloggers as possible to join in and share their reading suggestions. We see quite often readers asking for suggestions, saying that they are having difficulty finding Black authors and Black reviewers. The Black Bookcase is meant to be where you can find all of that information in one place.
If you are a Black reviewer, blogger, or vlogger we would love for you to join and leave your information in the Book Bloggers/Vloggers/Reviewers Network category. This will be a great place for readers to find and follow you in order to see your reviews and posts.
