A Slow Fire Burning started off a little slow and I was wondering how these characters were actually connected but now that it's becoming clear I'm here for all of it. Hawkins has created some pretty unlikable characters in this one, but once their backstories are revealed I can't help but think that I would probably be inclined to be a crappy person after going through what they go through as well. It doesn't excuse some of what they do but it sure explains it. The twists and reveals at the end of this one made up for the slow start for sure.

Synopsis
