The Perfect Ruin by Shanora Williams: Review

In The Perfect Ruin the main character Ivy is young and driven by anger and a need to punish the person she feels is responsible for all of the anguish in her life and sets off to get revenge in a way that I had a hard time with. I know that the decisions made as a younger person doesn't always make sense and I was willing to give some slack to Ivy because of that, but the way that she tries to justify her actions was a bit much for me. The dialogue, pacing, and the way that the plot unfolds were all uneven at times. This was a quick read with a cast of unlikable characters that I had trouble connecting and staying engaged with.

***I received a review copy in exchange for an honest review.***
