Dead Sexy by Paige Tyler Review

I was a little skeptical about how Tyler would manage to make a zombie a sexy male protagonist. I just couldn't picture it. The little I knew of zombies did not exactly put them onto my hot and sexy list. I imagined a heroine having to say things like "Babe, is this your ear I found on the floor?" I know that's silly, but I honestly couldn't picture finding rotting flesh and scary moaning sexy. Never fear, Tyler takes care of all of that for the reader. Drake is not fully a zombie and Simone definitely doesn't find out about his little problem until after all of the fireworks happen. 

This book is well written and I liked the reason why Drake ended up becoming a zombie, talk about a life lesson hard learned. You do not want to give an old Voodoo priestess a reason to be extremely mad at you! I was not a big fan of the self pleasuring scenes in the book, but that's a personal quirk and does not mean it didn't make sense for the story because it actually fit in well, it just wasn't my cup of tea. 

If you are looking for a Halloween read that is not scary, with just a little bit of creepy this is a good one. There are some real zombies in this and just the thought of them gave me the willies. The motivation behind the Voodoo priestess' serious anger is creepy too, but at least it explained why she went all bat crap crazy when Drake accidentally disturbed her plans. There's a little hint in the end that there will be a possible sequel when Aniyah questions the healing of a wound Drake has. I hope that if there is a sequel that Beck and Aniyah are fleshed out a bit more and we learn a little bit more about them as well.This book is a bargain at 99 cents at Amazon so it's definitely worth giving a try.
