Up From the Grave (Night Huntress #7) by Jeaniene Frost Review

This was the perfect ending to one of my favorite series. Cat and Bones are faced with one last challenge and it's a doosey. Cat and Bones are on the hunt to find their missing friends who just happen to be Cat's old team and under Bone's protection. Cat's uncle Don is still keeping secrets that he took with him beyond the grave and will continue to cause dire problems for not only Cat's team but the future of both vampires and ghouls alike. Our duo have to face Marie Laveau, the infamous voodoo queen, an ancient and powerful demon in the form of Trove, as well as deal with the madness of the fanatical Madigan who wants Cat for his own nefarious reasons. There's plenty to this story to keep the pages turning.

Frost has brought in all of the major characters from this wonderful series to close out this final chapter and it more than met my expectations.  I was a little afraid that it would end with a whimper and not a bang but my worries were for naught as Frost delivered with her usual flair for writing an enthralling story. Seeing this series end is bitter sweet, but I am so glad that Frost decided to end it on a high note while it is still entertaining with no disappointments. Hopefully there will be more spin off books in this world and I hope that Ian and Annette both get their own stories. It would be great to see the arrogant, conceited, and sexy as hell Ian meet his match and Annette really does deserve her own happily ever after. After loving Bones for so long and acquiescing to the love between Bones and Cat, she needs to find a true love of her own; plus she is one cool chick!

If you haven't yet read this series or was just waiting to be able to read it all the way through don't let the Night Huntress world pass you by. It's one of the most well written paranormal series out there and it would be a shame to miss out on the fun!

P.S. My favorite line in the book was said by Tyler: "You're too pretty for me refuse, Bonesy"

Happy Reading!
