Beginning with Forever (Forever #1) by Lan LLP Review

What a great introduction to a new author and a new series! Beginning With Forever is a wonderfully told story of a couple with seemingly nothing in common coming together to build a dynamic relationship. Carson and Lillian meet in a most unexpected way and have an undeniable attraction to one another right away. Lillian is a young medical student who is working hard to achieve a dream for both herself and her mother against difficult odds. Lillian is not looking for anyone to swoop in and rescue her, she wants to be the one taking care of and saving others. For both Lillian and her mother being wealthy is a strike against a man, not a point in his favor. Carson is a successful businessman who has turned tragedy, agony, and despair into a life-long mission to seek a cure for cancer. 

Beginning With Forever contains everything you could want in a contemporary romance. You get strong characters all around. Lillian, Carson and the secondary characters are all interesting and well fleshed out. The people who populate the world created by LLP  reflect the diversity in today's modern society and I greatly appreciated that. Today's world is made up of many unique cultural, social, and religious backgrounds and combinations so it was very refreshing to read a story that mirrors that. There's something for everyone in  Beginning With Forever-drama, love, lust, and greed. What else could you ask from LLP aside from please give us more soon!

     “Sweetness, you’re making it very difficult for me to resist you, to control myself.” He lowers himself intimately close to graze his soft, moist lips on my forehead, bridge of my nose and then intensely over my lips. The urgency of his need for me is translated through his kisses. Biting down firmly on his lower lip, it appears that he’s forcing the strength of his will to remain tame. Our eye contact is broken when he seals his shut to blind the temptation lying beneath his body. His hands grip the sheets desperately, clawing and then fisting.
