Taken by the Wolf King (Gladiator) by Marteeka Karland Review

I'm going to decline to rate this one simply because I could not force myself to finish it. I haven't gotten far into the story and I've had to call it quits. Things are moving at lightening speed between Elsa and Leif. She has just left two sleeping children, whom she loves more than anything, with a man that showed up at her door to take her to Leif. Elsa has never laid eyes on this man before, and she's leaving children with him so that she can go spend the day with a potential lover that she doesn't even know. She was actually going to leave them at home alone all day so that she could go on her day long date, but luckily for her, Jorak shows up to take her to Leif. Boom-instant trustworthy babysitter. Who does that? She's been around Leif himself for maybe an hour. There are also editing hiccups.

This was my introduction read to Marteeka Karland's writing. I really looked forward to reading this one, but it's apparently not for me. The writing for me was just a bit off. I was attracted to the cover and blurb for TAKEN BY THE WOLF KING, but unfortunately I wasn't taken in.

Happy Reading!
