Merry Christmas Ya'll! I hope that you all are enjoying a wonderful holiday season with family and friends. Being part of a military family myself, I know that being near family isn't always possible, so if you are able to reach out to others who may not have immediate family nearby, please do. It always means so much to feel a part of a community during the holiday season. I also hope that you find time to sneak away and do a little quiet reading during this fun, hectic, and sometimes stressful time of year. 

My postings will be a little sporadic over the next week or so, but I'll be back to normal after the new year. Enjoy the season and take care of yourselves!

November Book Haul

I had a particularly good book thrifting month and bought thirty eight books. That's a lot of books even for me! My local Goodwills provided the bulk of them, but I also ordered a few books online and I even won a book at the end of October from Mocha Girls Read that I received on the 31st, so I am including it with this haul. I am not going to bore anyone with all of my finds so I am just going to haul the ones that I was most excited to find. I hope that you enjoy a peek into all of the book goodness that I found!

November Reading Wrap Up

This November was a decent reading month for me. I listened to two audio books, read four comics, and read seven books. I enjoyed almost everything, and there were books added to my favorites list. The Killing Moon by N.K. Jemisin was a favorite. Jemisin's writing just sucks me in and doesn't turn me loose until the very last page. The Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson is now one of my all time favorite reads. It made such an impact on me and should be required reading! 

Well, November's almost done, Thanksgiving is over, and I am looking forward to the run up to Christmas. I checked my Goodreads reading challenge and I have read 139 of my 150 book goal. My fingers are crossed that I can read eleven more books before December 31st. I will definitely be taking my book goal number way down for next year! I plan on diving into some longer fantasy series next year so there is pretty much no way that I am going to read 150 books in 2017! Let me know if you have read a must read book this year so that I can check it out too!

It's the day after Thanksgiving, so it is now officially right to break out all of the Christmas joy that I can! This is my favorite time of year and there's no better way from me to enjoy a cold evening than to have a fire going and a good book in my hands.
